ICI Homes and Builder Care Reach Mid-Construction Milestone in Middlebourne

In a celebration of compassion, collaboration, and craftsmanship, ICI Homes and Builders Care have officially reached the halfway mark on their Home from the Heart project in the vibrant Middlebourne community of St. Johns County.

Just two and a half months after breaking ground, this special mid-construction event welcomed a passionate group of industry partners, dedicated ICI Homes team members, and the leadership of Builders Care and the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA). Together, they gathered to walk the home in progress, reflect on its incredible purpose, and witness firsthand the power of building for good.

Division Manager Joe Blanco shared the exciting update: “We’re just a couple of weeks beyond our original mid-construction timeline, and we’ve already completed drywall. Most importantly, we’re thrilled to announce that the home is under contract and on track to close in mid-September.”

This isn’t just any home. It was created with a mission to give back. Through this project, ICI Homes is donating 100 percent of the profit to Builders Care, NEFBA’s charitable arm. These funds will help deliver life-changing repairs and accessibility enhancements to low-income homeowners throughout Northeast Florida.

Chris Shee, Chairman of Builders Care, emphasized how rare and meaningful this effort is. “Only a handful of builders have ever committed to donating the entire profit from a home. ICI Homes is one of them, and their generosity is a game-changer for our organization and the people we serve.”
