Their luxurious gated community with its Tom Watson-designed golf course is only minutes from the new site of the 2026 Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS presented by Circle K, a PGA Tour Champions event moving to Palm Coast from its original site in Jacksonville.
The tournament takes place October 5-11, 2026 at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa, a convenient drive east of The Conservatory. PGA Tour Champions participants will tackle the resort’s Jack Nicklaus-designed Ocean Course, which, for Conservatory residents, means enjoying great golf and following PGA Tour favorites now competing on the Champions circuit.
With the 2026 FURYK & FRIENDS event practically at their back door, Conservatory residents also should have the opportunity to support the tournament’s charity initiatives.
Here’s the scoop.
Star power
Jim Furyk, a 17-time PGA Tour winner and the 2003 U.S. Open champion, serves as tournament co-host with his wife, Tabitha Furyk. Conservatory residents might know Furyk as the 2010 FedEx Cup champion, the 2018 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, and the 2024 U.S. Presidents Cup captain.
As Jacksonville-area residents, the Furyks founded and have hosted the FURYK & FRIENDS event since its 2021 PGA Tour Champions debut. It was played at Timuquana Country Club in Jacksonville from 2021 through the 2025 event held September 29-October 5.
Now, it’s headed to Palm Coast in a multi-year agreement beginning in 2026, per The Ponte Vedra Recorder.
“We’re proud of what we’ve built and excited for the opportunity to continue growing at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa,” Jim Furyk said. “Our players will love the Ocean Course while fans, sponsors and everyone connected to the tournament will enjoy the hospitality and beauty of Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa.”
Tournament deets
Fundraising is a main driver for the event. The Furyks founded their Jim & Tabitha Furyk Foundation in 2010 to benefit local charities and the PGA Tour Champions event has raised more than $5 million for north Florida entities.
While the Foundation remains based in Jacksonville, the 2026 event will allow the organization to broaden its reach and impact to Palm Coast and Flagler County.
Aside from philanthropy, previous tournaments have included family-friendly fun, food and beverage experiences, concerts and volunteer opportunities..
Live the tournament life
It’s 19 minutes and nine miles from the Conservatory to Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa via Palm Harbor Parkway — a tee shot away.
And while it’s inspiring to watch pros play, Conservatory residents can challenge a top-notch course in their own backyard.
The Tom Watson course — designed by another golfing legend — is the community’s sporting centerpiece. A glass-domed clubhouse anchors its social scene, offering a resort-style swimming pool, sun deck and fitness center.
